Luis Miguel de Camps

On August, 2020, Mr. Luis Miguel de Camps took oath as Minister of Labor of the Dominican Republic as a part of the cabinet of President Luis Abinader. He holds a Law degree from the Catholic University “Madre y Mestra”, a Masters in Law Deegree from the Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and a post-graduate degree from Harvard specializing in negotiation and conflict resolution.
 
He worked as an attorney for a New York firm from 2003 to 2005, time during which he specialized in corporative structures, international financial regulations, finance planning, among others. When he returned to Dominican Republic he opened his own firm. He has worked with international financial institutions, promotors and operators of residential and commercial real estate companies, as well as corporate clients.
 
He also served as the Executive President of the Dominican Association of Fiduciaries Societies (Asofidom), and as Chair of the Social Democrat Revolutionary Party.
