Description:
The Bilateral Cooperation Activity between the Ministry of Labor, Employment, and Social Welfare (MTEPS) of Bolivia and the Secretariat of Labor and Social Welfare (STPS) of Mexico on vocational guidance and employment was selected within the framework of the 17th Call of the OAS Inter-American Network for Labor Administration (RIAL) in April 2024, and was held virtually.
OBJECTIVES AND PRODUCT
General Objective: Implement labor inspection tools with specific guidelines for the application of labor regulations according to the scope, sector, or subject matter for which they were designed.
Specific Objectives:
- Contribute more effectively to verifying compliance with socio-labor regulations.
- Create inspection models tailored to the characteristics and needs of a specific sector.
- Optimize the duration of labor inspections, reduce discretionary actions by inspectors, and increase transparency regarding the scope of inspections.
- Learn about the current STPS protocols related to agriculture: agricultural activities, free collective bargaining, coal mining, detecting and preventing human trafficking in the workplace, restaurants, bars, and hotels, and convenience stores, etc.
