Alfonso Navarrete Prida

Mr. Navarrate obtained a Law Degree at the Autonomous National University of Mexico and in 2003 he was recognize with the “Venera Abogado Isidro Fabela Alfaro a la Judicatura” Award, granted by the Law School of Atlacomulco, Mexico.
Mr. Navarrete is member of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI). He began his politic career as a private secretary of Mr. Jorge Carpizo McGregor on three different occasions; at the National Commission of Human Rights, at the Federal Attorney's Office, and as Secretary of State. Mr. Navarrete was General Attorney of Mexico and a Congressman. He has also work on migration services and criminal proceedings. Mr. Alfonso Navarrete Prida was named Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare on December 1, 2012 and is currently the Chair of the XIX Inter-American Conference of Ministers of Labor (IACML) of the OAS.
