RIAL Hemispheric Workshop "Moving towards Better Horizons for Children and Adolescents in the Americas"
- Sharing best practices and successful experiences and identifying lessons learned regarding the prevention and eradication of child labor and its worst forms among the countries of the region.
- Providing input at the regional/Americas level and contributing to the hemispheric participation in the Third Global Conference on Child Labor to be held in Brazil in October 2013.
The workshop was organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Labor and Social Security of Costa Rica and the Organization of American States (OAS) and follows up on the agreements of the Summit of the Americas and the Inter-American Conference of Ministers of Labor (IACML), especially the Declaration of San Salvador from 2011.
