On July 19, 2024, the Honorable Steven MacKinnon assumed office as Minister of Labour of Canada. Minister MacKinnon has experience in constitutional negotiations, trade and labor agreements, as well as health, education, and election reforms. His professional background includes serving as a policy advisor and global consultant in public and financial affairs, as well as being the Leader of the Government in the Canadian Parliament. Mr. MacKinnon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Moncton and a Master of Business Administration from Queen’s University in Canada.
