In order to know the implementation, evaluation and systematization of the 'Youth and Employment' program of the Ministry of Labor of the Dominican Republic, officials of the Colombian youth employment program, TransFórmate, traveled to Santo Domingo for three days.
During their visit, the public servants knew first-hand the tools that the Dominican program has. The first day, the Colombian officers focused their attention mainly on the forms of evaluation of processes and results of the program.
The Dominican evaluators agreed to review and give specific recommendations for the evaluation instruments of the 'TransFormate' program in Colombia, for which the Colombian delegation made the commitment to share with them through virtual means the instruments they have available.
On the second day of the visit, Colombian officials visited the System's Operating Centers, where they learned about the perception of the facilitators and users of the "Youth and Employment" program.
During the third and last day, the Colombian delegation made a presentation of the program 'TransFórmate', as well as a visit to the facilities of INFOTEP, where its director and the Deputy Minister of Employment and Pensions of Colombia committed to review an agreement that was previously signed between this agency and SENA of Colombia, with the intention of reactivating it.
According to the Final Report presented by the Ministry of Labor of Colombia (attached below), the steps to follow from this Billateral Cooperation are: 1) to maintain communication with the Dominican team for the revision of instruments, and 2) make a proposal for the implementation of the deployment of the program as an active employment policy in Colombia.
