From August 27 to 31, 2018, three officials of the Ministry of Labor of Ecuador visited the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development (Mitradel) of Panama to exchange experiences and acquire knowledge to strengthen their programs to promote youth employment, specifically the Program "Empleo Joven" and "Mi Primer Empleo", based on the practices of the Panamanian Labor Integration Support Program and the Panama Pro-Joven program.
Also during the study trip, the Ecuadorian delegation learned about the progress that Panama has made through the Vocational Counseling and Employment Program of its counterpart.
The officials of the Ministry of Labor of Ecuador visited the province of Coclé, where they met young people who participated in the different programs and obtained work through them.
In the "Steps to Follow" highlighted in the Final Report of the Ecuadorian delegation, it is enlisted to implement work schemes similar to those of Panama Pro-Joven as part of the Ecuadorian "Mi Primer Empleo", as well as the creation of a mobile application similar to the one used by Panama, to be used in said program and "Empleo Joven".
