Master Aura Teleguario obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the Francisco Marroquín University and subsequently her Master’s Degree in the same subject from Franklin University. She also received a Master’s Degree in Public Management from Georgetown University. Currently she is studying to obtain a Master’s Degree in Innovation and Leadership in Government Programs from the Government School.
During the last 22 years she has worked as an advisor on Indigenous People for USAID and the United States’ Embassy in Guatemala. She has also been a member of the Executive Board of the Organization Vital Voices, the Movement Poderosas, ProLideres, the Young Americas Business Trust of the Organization of American States, and Co-founder of the Intercultural Commission FUNDESA, and is currently a member of the Group Naleb. She has been Minister of Labor and Social Welfare since January 14, 2016.
