Alba Luz Torres

Ms. Alba Luz Torres finished her secondary studies at the Francisco Luis Espinoza Estelí National Institute. She obtained her Law Degree and a Diploma in Human Resources and Environmental Law at the University of Nicaragua. In 2008 she also obtained a Diploma in Public Contracting Law and Municipal Contracting Law at the Central University of Nicaragua, and a Master’s Degree in Contracting and Human Resources Management from the Pablo Freire University. In 2010, Mrs. Torres received a Master’s Degree in Senior Management of Public Administration from the University Of Humanistic Studies Of Nicaragua and in 2012, a Master’s Degree in Gender Mainstreaming in Government Programs at the Polytechnic University of Nicaragua.
Alba Luz Torres has worked as General Director of the Public Function of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit, Professor at the University of Nicaragua, Advisor and mediator of Property Conflicts at Esteli Nueva Segovia. Alba Luz Torres Briones became Minister of Labor on December 18, 2012, through the Presidential Agreement N. 225-2012.
