Description:

Two Argentine experts visited Peru to provide training about this plan, which was developed by the Argentine government to combat unregistered work, increase the efficiency in the detection and correction of non-compliance to labor and social security legislation, and incorporate excluded workers into the social security system.

This was a highly enriching activity since the two countries share the same problems of informal labor relations.  In that connection, Argentina’s National Labor Regularization Plan made it possible for participants to identify specific elements that would enable such problems to be addressed.  The meeting was also highly important in view of the public labor inspection policies now being developed and the additional labor inspectors being engaged by Peru.
