The Bilateral Cooperation Activity between the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare of Chile (MTPS) and the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development of Panama (MITRADEL) on the Primer Empleo “Aprender Haciendo” program was selected within the framework of the 16th Call for the Inter-American Network for Labor Administration (RIAL) of the OAS in March 2023, to be carried out virtually.
OBJECTIVES AND PRODUCT
General Objective: Improve the employability of the age segment between 15 and 25 years, with the incorporation of a temporary contracting element through internships, and thereby improve the status of the worker.
Specific objectives:
- Learn about the experiences and good practices associated with the Primer Empleo “Aprender Haciendo” program.
- Know the tools, processes, methodologies and information derived from the execution of the Primer Empleo “Aprender Haciendo” program.
- Know the results of the process of incorporating young people into the world of work, in the trainee-worker transition.
Product: At the end of the cooperation, the MTPS of Chile will be able to incorporate the hiring component to the SENCE Apprentices Program, through the development of proposals that favor internships with the possibility of turning into decent work.
