Strengthening of the Public Employment Service

The Bilateral Cooperation Activity between the Ministry of Labor of Ecuador and the Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare of Mexico on public employment services was selected within the framework of the 16th Call for the Inter-American Network for Labor Administration (RIAL) of the OAS in March 2023, to be carried out virtually.
 
OBJECTIVES AND PRODUCT
 
General Objective: Know the operation and good practices of the Public Employment Service of Mexico to articulate the supply and demand of work.
 
Specific objectives:
 

• Learn about the operation of the Public Employment Service of Mexico, its processes, good practices, employment guidance and services in general that it provides to citizens to facilitate the search for employment.

• Identify the functionalities and benefits of the computer platform of the Public Employment Service of Mexico, especially for the search for job opportunities, circular migration and publication of job offers.

• Replicate the knowledge learned in the restructuring of the Public Employment Services of Ecuador and the development of the new computer platform.

 
Product: At the end of the cooperation, the Ministry of Labor of Ecuador will have a work plan that will contain the activities to be carried out to replicate good practices, lessons learned from the Public Employment Service of Mexico and its portal in the Public Employment Service of Ecuador through the "Commitment to Employment" project.
